Thursday’s are 40K night at the FLGS. I put together a list of models I want to play with and, like a dice roll, my opponent is determined by who is waiting. I have no idea who I will be playing or what army. I expect Space Marines or Tau so I whipped together a list with two Mawlocs and the Death Leaper to deal with those pesky fish heads. Instead, I played Skitarii. Hooray! I haven’t played the Skitarii yet. Mackenzie is the general for the Adeptus Mechanicus faction.

Armies on Parade is fast approaching and I want to have some scenery for my display. It will also be nice to play with painted scenery. For those of of you who read Battle Report 007 you know that there was a lot of unprimed plastic on that table top. So let’s get to the project.

I’ve shown you my heavy hitters for the Carcharodons. Now it’s time for the grunts to shine. So far I have four squads of tactical marines in various stages of paint. This squad is complete and is represented by several versions of Mk power armour.

In October or November 2013 I participated in the Games and Gears Battle Boards kickstarter. After months and months of patiently waiting the Hawk Urban set arrived in late July. Here is my review.

I really enjoy playing with Terminators. Some games these five thunderhammer and stormshield Terminators absorb more punishment than they should. Other games they should have stayed in bed and dreamed of numbers other than one. All in all this squad has performed reasonably well.

If you are a fan of bad movies, like I am, there will be a fantastic flick on Discovery tonight- Sharknado 3. A few months back I presented my Carcharodons Chapter banner. Today seems like a good day to bring that banner back to the spotlight. I present to you the Carcharodons Sharknado.

These are my jack of all trades models. They are the Redemptionist models from Necromunda. I can also use them as Acolytes for Inquisition or Zealots for Adeptas Sororitas. I painted these up for the ally contingent for the GW West Edmonton Nemesis painting challenge.
Now that the LotR models are painted it is time to turn my attention back to Tim the Dimachaeron. I chose to paint Tim in sections so it seems like I am progressing. For the carapace I chose to start with the legs.

Vacation time was a wee bit busy with the in-laws visiting and a five-day backcountry hike to Mount Assiniboine. Unfortunately I missed Shark Week on the Roost. The Carcharodons are displeased with my inaction. Here is the completed Witch King on Fell Beast and I succeeded in completed the model before my self-imposed July 9 deadline.

Last time I posted Centurions it was the Assault Centurions. This time it is the Devastator Centurions with grav cannons. The models are the same and with the power of magnets I am able to switch out all weapons load outs. I love the flexibility of changing the weapons. The downside are the guns can get knocked very easy during game play. All-in-all I am glad I went with the route of the magnet.
