Armies on Parade is fast approaching and I want to have some scenery for my display. It will also be nice to play with painted scenery. For those of of you who read Battle Report 007 you know that there was a lot of unprimed plastic on that table top. So let’s get to the project.
Once it was assembled I glued it to 1/8″ hardboard. I cut a piece of a Fantasy movement tray to size for the ground. I like the tile look of the movement trays. I then primed the kit with Army Painter Dark Angel Green.
The next step was using Arthonian Camoshade shade. I then dry brushed Warpstone Glow with a final drybrush of Hellion Green. I painted Leadbelcher on the floors with Nuln Oil spread over. The base floor is painted Mechanicum Standard Grey with Nuln Oil on top. Scorched Brown was used on the sand.
The next step will be drybrushing the floors. I also have to work on the windows, lamps and the Aquila.
I really like the look of the movement trays on the ruins. Sadly I have used up my stock and would like more. The asking price on eBay is grossly inflated. If you have any movement trays you do not want please drop me a line at turkadactyl@yahoo.ca.
Looking good

The progress on the terrain is awesome. I need to start gluing mine on hardboard… I love the greenish tint you’ve given the outer walls. Looks fantastic.

Thanks. I wanted the strong contrast with the gold and green. Fingers crossed it turns out well.
