LotR- Witch King on Fell Beast

Vacation time was a wee bit busy with the in-laws visiting and a five-day backcountry hike to Mount Assiniboine.  Unfortunately I missed Shark Week on the Roost.  The Carcharodons are displeased with my inaction.  Here is the completed Witch King on Fell Beast and I succeeded in completed the model before my self-imposed July 9 deadline.

Personally I enjoyed painting the Watcher in the Water more.  Both my wife and I said that The Watcher looked creepy as it was being painted.  I haven’t worked with black as a main colour on a model before and I found it tough to make the highlights stand out.  A good learning experience though.  It is a relief to finish this model.  It has been sitting on my shelf primed for a couple of years and it is now done.  Like The Watcher this will be a Christmas present.

My upcoming projects include Tim the Dimachaeron, priming scenery, assembling the Caestus Assault Ram and painting an Assault Squad for the Carcharodons.

On a different note I just bought the Dawn of War II expansions on Steam.  Look up Turkadactyl on Steam if you want to play.  I don’t game too often so I’m not all that good.
