Tyranids – Tim the Dimachaeron WIP Nov 18

It has been a few months since the last Tim the Enchanter WIP post.  Summer and other projects got in the way.  The Dimachaeron is a huge model and it is taking a long time to complete.  Dreadtober and the Spawn of Cryptus distracted me for a little bit.  I also painted the base colours on Captain Karlean from Shield of Baal: Deathstorm and the captain from the Forgeworld MkIV command set.  But enough about those projects, this is supposed to be about Tim.

The carapace is all complete now as you can see.  My goal is to finish highlighting the flesh and vents on my next set of nights off.  Once the flesh is highlighted I will work on the base.  I am planning on chopping up a fantasy movement tray for a ruined cityscape.  I might also add a fallen street light to the base.

I am looking forward to completing this model.  I have a invested a few hours into it already.  With all the protruding parts it has been difficult navigating the paintbrush around.  The arms have hooked on my water cup three times resulting in my pulling the cup over and spilling all the water on the table and floor.  Yeah clumsy!

Tim the Enchanter should be complete next week unless of course I come across the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog.  Fingers crossed.
