The Adeptas Sororitas, also known as the Sisters of Battle, was on of my first 40K armies (Tyranids is my other). I liked their background as well as the models. Also, hardly anyone plays them so that in itself was another reason to collect the army. I’m glad I started collecting in third edition because the army was affordable back then. I’ll be posting some of the models I first painted and it is clearly evident that there has been some progression in my painting skills. It’s time to show you what heat the Nuns with Guns are packing.
If you have played against the Adeptas Sororitas then it is safe to say you’ve gone up against at least two Exorcist’s in the list. The Exorcist tank is the only long ranged weapon in the army. The Exorcist missile launcher shoots D6 strength 8 armour penetration 1 shots. For me I have to take two because one tank will inevitably roll a one or two for shots.
It’s a great looking model and very heavy. The tank chassis is a Rhino, which is plastic. The armour plates on the front and side are all pewter. The organ and pipes are all pewter. I have knocked two Exorcist’s off the table in the past. I don’t swear much but I can remember those two events vividly and the words that came out of my mouth. Needless to say those tanks were in a few pieces after both accidents. This tank, fortunately, has not been knocked of the table.
