LotR- The Watcher in the Water WIP June 12

I am plugging away on the Watcher in the Water.  I have a deadline for July 09 and I am confident that I will make it.  This is one creepy looking model.

Watcher 001

I skipped a step and used the Dark Angel primer by Army Painter.  There are a lot of hidden recesses in this model.  It took a while to make sure there was no crack and crevice left unprimed.  My first session of painting was uneventful.  Prime the model and paint the underbelly with Tanned Flesh.  Tanned Flesh has served me well.  This pot is going back a few years.  If you’ve been around the hobby long enough then you remember the Citadel paint pots with the black lids.

The next step will be highlighting with Dwarf Flesh and then Elf Flesh.  Those are two more discontinued paints from the Citadel line.

Enjoy.
