Here is my second Lord of the Rings project I have to complete by July 9. The Watcher in the Water will be a Christmas present for my brother in-law. Right now it is constructed and I have used green stuff to fill all the gaps. I have glued the model to the base yet to make it easier to paint the underbelly. I plan on using an Army Painter primer to speed up the process.
I am looking forward to painting this model more than the Witch King on Fell Beast. The finecast makes it a delicate model. Hence the reason why I want it done before the in-laws arrive. I will pack it in a box and my mother in-law can take it on the plane on carry-on. The legs are delicate.
I have pinned all legs and face arms. I’ve been pinning stuff since third edition of 40K. I like the extra support at the joints. I also had to drill an extra hole in the rocks. Everything did not line up. Shocker, I know.
Thankfully my night shift sets are coming up. I hope to get both LotR models done in the next three weeks. Challenge accepted.
Enjoy seeing the progress.
