After the Nemesis Painting Challenge was complete I was informed that there was potential 40k tournament being organized. The points limit was set at 2500 points. Last year I entered the 1850 points tournament with my freshly completed Carcharodons and won best painted. This year it was time for the Grey Knights to defend my honour. Nemesis Painting Challenge brought me up to 2000 points so I needed 500 points fast. Enter the Grand Master.
I bought a couple of extra Drago models with the purpose of using the model for the Grand Master. I changed out the arms for a halberd and storm bolter from a pewter Grey Knight Terminator. Sadly the tournament never happened but at least I got the model painted up. Too bad about the tournament. Last years was the most enjoyable tournament I have participated in. It was restricted to 16 players and the best general category was taken out. It was a relaxed atmosphere and everyone had a blast. Roy, owner of Thunderground Comics in St. Albert is ace and was a fantastic host.
