I am presently typing away at Iona. This will be our last Friday sleepover on Iona. Next Friday is the Camas farewell party so we will not be staying at Iona next week. Another sign that our time at Camas is coming to a close. We now have two weeks left.
I was able to take Ferocious out for a drive on Wednesday. We had a rare break in the weather. It was sunny and warm for most of the day. I hope to upload a couple more videos onto Turkavision soon. I will have some additional treats uploaded onto Turkavision. Last Friday I was in the volunteer lounge at the MacLeod Centre and Tom (an Iona Abbey volunteer) asked me if I wanted to tell stories with him. I obliged and we told each other several stories that we made up on the spot. To give you an idea of who Tom is he shares the same sense of humour as I and his picture can be found on the Chimney Sweep Detectives CD Release and Interview posting.
After sharing stories we came up with a brilliant idea of writing and illustrating 5 stories each. We will be participating in a public reading of our stories tonight. Mrs. Turkadactyl will tape the reading and I will upload the footage. Our compilation title is Jam Tart Boy Presents Stories For The Bathtub. I think this is my big money maker.
Last weeks group was a music based group. I did not participate in the sessions asa I have next to zero musical and singing talent. I resumed my title of Poopsmith and brought back lots of manure for the garden. Oh yeah, it rained a lot last week.
Mrs. Turkadactyl and I earned an extra day off. We spent it on Iona and for once had a day off on a sunny day. We wandered around Iona and took some great photos. When I return to Camas I will update this posting with photos.
This weeks will be our last group to come stay at Camas. It is a youth group with eight teens and two adults. I hope I have enough energy to make it through the week. My energy is still low. Also, if Mr. Camas is reading the Roost thank you for the letter and CD. There are some sweet air band songs on the disc. Unfortunately our air band session was cut short due to the Camas Challenge entertainment and reflection schedule. I look forward to rockin’ it out over dishes.
This from Sport’s Illustrated of 13/10/08:
“A 14-5-1 run to close last season; an off-season buoyed by a new, happy-to-spend owner and the acquisition of big minute players Eric Cole and Lubomir Visnovsky; the healthy returns of defensemen Sheldon Souray and forwards Shawn Horcoff and Ethan Moreau. Folks, there’s excitement in Edmonton.”
So there you are. In spite of all the nonsense in the news, life is good!! I hope the rest of your time at Camas is good and healthy….
Peace/Out

Flames lose 6-0. That’s great news as well.
