Here is the final result for my MkIV Captain. I am pleased with the final result, especially with the skin. The skin has the pale grey complexion and is not lost in grey of the armour.
I recently purchased a light box. I thought about making one myself for far less money. The purchase won me over because it folds up and is easier to store. It also came with lights too. I started taking photos with the DSLR and then compared them with the camera on my wife’s iPhone and the phone is far superior. I think it is time to save up for a new camera. I am going to bug my wife to take photos for me because she is a natural with photography.
Here area couple of pictures with the Captain on a white sheet. I do not have a grey scale so the white balance is thrown off a bit. My preference is the grey sheet. I think the photos came out clearer. What do you think, grey or white? The drawback to grey is grey models blending into the background. I think the pictures are crisper though. I have some more models I will be posting in the near future with both the white and grey background.
I am glad to have the light box. Before I had to wait for the day to be sunny so the sun could shine through the white curtain. I would have to wait for a particular time of day depending on the suns angle. The light box don’t care what time of day it is.
