Retributors and heavy bolters are like peanut butter and jam.  The two were destined to be together.

It is the Retributors Act of Faith that makes the heavy bolter valuable.  What does their Act of Faith do?  The Retributors weapons have rending for the current shooting phase.  With the third edition codex I invested a lot of faith points in the Retributors.  The White Dwarf codex was able to maximize rending as well.  The present electronic codex has limited the Retributors opportunity to cause rending.  Their mighty heavy bolter is not as valuable as it once was, but twelve strength five AP four shots is nothing to complain about.  The Retributors guns have a red shield to differentiate them from the troops choice Battle Sisters.
