Dear Mark,
Austria is a pleasant surprise. While I was expecting moustache’s galore in Italy; I had no expectations for Austria. The image of Mario and Luigi gave me high expectations for the Italians. I think it is Austria of where the moustache was born. There are moustaches everywhere here. The young men do not seem to be as enthused as their older brethren but I think there is hope for them yet.
The moutache goes far back into Austrian history. Alexander and I took a tour of Vienna’s Museum of War History. It was a proud day to be a moustache. Statues and paintings everywhere displaying Austria’s leaders proudly displaying their moustaches. The museum is also having an effect on its workers. As we walked past one of the curators I stared (moustaches can get away with staring, did you know that) at his wonderful handlebar moustache. I did not feel worthy to be in the same room with a fine moustache as Handlebar.
Please look at some pictures that I enjoyed staring at a few days ago. I will be home soon. Mark, I hope the last five months have been generous for growing your first moustache.
Hugs and kisses,
Moustache
