We had a lovely time at Iona on Friday. I arrived late, unfortunately, to the Sunday evening service at Iona Abbey. The theme of the service, I believe, was taking joy in the simpler things in life and not taking oneself serious. I felt at home at that service. Hmm, I wonder why that is.
We watched a lovely video that night, which comes from the website www.wherethehellismatt.com. Please check it out and read his story if you have some time to kill. Here is the video we watched.
Sometimes it is easy to become enamoured in the everyday routine that life presents itself. I am appreciating this experience here at Camas. Yes, I will have to return to work on day but I am coming back with a few breaths of fresh air. I will dance more and I will still be just as silly. I will appreciate my friends and family more. I will take more time away from the computer to smell the fresh air. I will smile more. I will read my Bible more and spend more time with God. I will love more.
I am trying to be happy at the moment as our packages are considered lost and Canada Post is now trying to track them. It can take up to 90 ninety days for the investigation to be completed. We will be back in Canada by then. We have our winter gear in those boxes.
Here are some photos from Iona. Please enjoy what I get to take in with my senses every Friday and Saturday morning.
