A couple of quick notes today. Last week Naf Naf and I announced that we were starting a new hobby challenge- Spartember. We discovered that we both had the same problem- a large Forgeworld Spartan tank sitting in pieces in the hobby closet. It was decided that we will rely on each other for motivation to assemble these large kits and we extended the invitation to interwebs.
I am pleased to say that our numbers have increased to five. Siph of Wee Men, Thutmos at Temple of Thutmos and local gamer Jerrod have all joined. Here’s the lowdown. We are invited anyone with a Spartan Assault tank or any large tank for that matter (Thutmos and Jerrod are working on the Typhon) to sign up. You set your goal whether it be assembling the tank, getting the base colours down, highlights or a combination of any of the above. Anyone who has worked with these large kits know how intimidating it can be to work on these projects. We want to encourage and cheer each other on. If you want to participate leave a comment. We’d love to have you on board. We will be using the hashtag #spartember40K on social media.
And now for something completely different. If you are a regualr on this site then you know I’ve been pumping up a contest for an upcoming kickstarter. It is for the Table of Ultimate Gaming. I’m gunning hard to win this. Here’s what you do. Click here and sign up to receive notifications about the kickstarter. You get entered to win a free table and can also refer other people. I also get an entry. Right now I am sitting at #35 and want to climb higher. I am intrigued with this kickstarter and for once found out about something before it started.
And again something completely different. I just purchased the soft cover copy of red Tithe by Robbie MacNiven. Nik is a Night Lords fans and plans on starting an army soon. We plan on playing out battles from the book to bring it to life. This will be a little ways off but I wanted to give you a sneak peak of something that will go down here at the Roost.
Thanks for reading.
I’m in. Got the FW goodie bag out from the closet of doom, all bits accounted for, now the long slog to clean flash, vents and bend tracks into place… will start in September, I mean Spartember!

My fear is a miscast piece that can’t be salvaged. I don’t expect Forgeworld to replace the product if it had been almost one year since I ordered it.

Me too. I dont’t even know if Inhave all the bits yet either, which will be horrible if I come to it and a critical piece is missing
